Bright facade and I like the red & black stripes on the next building. How large is the Vancouver Chinatown? It's been a long time since I've been there. Expo 86 may have been the last time I actually stayed in the city.
actually those are red bars. The black is the shadow behind. it is merely a doorway to go upstairs but blocked to the public. The Vancouver Chinatown is only about 5 or 6 blocks (3 blocks on parallel streets with a section between. Our new Chinatown is the City of Richmond which is about half hour south of Vancouver. Hongcouver = Richmond.where we have several Asian Malls
If you haven't been here since 1986 you wouldn't recognize the place
It was bright, perhaps that's what caught my eye and I never fiddled with the photo either.
The header photo was in an alley down on the DTES: Downtown Eastside. I fiddled with the colour balance. Hard to bring a camera and photograph down there

A nice brightly painted storefront.
ReplyDeleteI like the new blog header pic too. That graffiti is quite bright.
